Obituary of Patrick J. Smyth
Patrick J. Smyth, age 55, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Mr. Smyth was born February 26, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of Robert Smyth and the late Mary (Sheehy) Smyth. Proud US Navy Veteran. Retired dedicated Police Sergeant with the NYPD.
Loving husband and best friend of 24 years to Regina C. Loccisano-Smyth. Beloved bother of Robert, Gerald, Mary and the late Michael. Cherished uncle of Liam, Aidan and Frankie. Dear cousin of many.
After retiring from the NYPD, Patrick enjoyed his time being involved with the Gerritsen Beach Sports Community. The kids adored "Coach Pat" and looked up to him and his guidance.
Patrick will be sorely missed.
Forever In Our Hearts
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Patrick's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

There will be a ZOOM Prayer Service on Sunday beginning at 5:00 PM.

A FUTURE Formal Memorial Service will be planned for 2021 to honor and memorialize Patrick J. Smyth once Covid-19 regulations and guidelines subside.
The future service will include a funeral mass and entombment of cremains at the Calverton National Cemetery with ceremonial honors.
