Hughie was a wonderful man. Very kind and thoughtful - he always had a hug and kiss for us.. I was on the Dart Team as well as the Softball team of Hughies Anchor Inn during the late 80's to the mid 90's.. He will be missed terribly. I am so sad.. He always made me smile..

Dear Hughie,
You are a great friend who made it to heaven.
You will always be remembered as a great friend to the various women's softball and dart teams that he sponsored out of his bar "The Anchor Inn."
And he was a great fisherman. One day he caught a boatload of flounders and brought back the catch - cooked and ready to eat. Never have I had a better tasting fish to eat in a bar that had no kitchen but plenty to drink.

God Bless You, Hughie. You are one of the best men I ever had the priviledge to meet. New to the neighborhood in '89, I stumbled into the Anchor Inn and found a welcoming home and some of the best friends I ever met. Sorry I made fun of your Fluke Ziti, it was delicious (and free). Gonna miss ya, Buddy. Don't make too much of a wake up there with your Grady White. -Paul

Uncle Hughie... so many great memories that I will hold close to my heart forever. I could not have picked a better Godfather. <3 My heart is breaking and so sad that I won't get to hear any more of your corny jokes, see any of those emails you printed out and were showing to anyone who would listen, hear your laugh, or see your smile. Love you forever and always. XOXO

Dear Dad, Some time has passed and I am missing you more now than when you first passed. I am doing my best to continue on and make you proud. Some days are easy and some are hard. I hope you knew how proud of you I was and am. You were a very very good father and a great grandfather. Justin and Erika ask about you all the time and I try to keep your memory alive. I will miss you forever but know that I will see you down the road. Please look down on Mom, April and Jean and bring them peace. Life is not the same without you. Love Jimmy
