Obituary of Steven Michael Barich

Steven Michael Barich, age 69, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2024. Born on October 20, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the cherished son of the late Julio and the late Mary Barich. Steven was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia Barich, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Steven served in the Navy, demonstrating his dedication to his country with honor and pride. His commitment to service exemplified his strong sense of duty and selflessness.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Steven is survived by his children, Erica Sciallo, Robert Sciallo, and Kathleen Barich. He was a cherished grandfather to Jayson, Angelina, Mia, and Olivia, and a dear great-grandfather to Kaila. Beloved brother of Linda Carbone. 

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, on Thursday, January 11, from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 12, at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn. 

Following the Mass, a committal service will take place at Green-Wood Crematory Chapel in Brooklyn.

As we say our final goodbyes to Steven, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
