Obituary of Florence Raimondi

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Florence Raimondi, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and long-time member of the Brooklyn and Rockaway communities. Florence passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday at the age of 96.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Florence devoted her life to her family. She cherished nurturing her children and grandchildren, filling her home with warmth, laughter, and love. Family gatherings and holidays were especially dear to her. She delighted in welcoming friends of her and her husband, as well as the many friends of her children, into her home for dinners and celebrations, making every guest feel part of the family.

Florence shared a long and loving marriage with her husband, Louis, who predeceased her.

A longtime Rockaway resident, she was a kind and generous member of the community, always ready to help anyone in need.

Florence is survived by her children Joseph, Theresa (Matthew), and Christine (Gerard); grandchildren Fred, Matthew (Monica), Elizabeth (Sydney), Ava, Ashley, and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Luna and Oliver.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Reposing on Thursday, April 9 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Friday, April 10 at St. Francis De Sales R.C. Church, 129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, Queens,

Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens.
