Obituary of Michele Nicastro
Michele Nicastro, 67, passed away suddenly on November 19, 2025. Born to the late Michael and Teresa Abbate, Michele was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
Michele was the beloved wife of Chucky Nicastro. Married in 1981, they shared 44 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She was the loving mother of Michael (Dana) Nicastro and Lindsey (John) Ameruso, and the adored grandmother of Alyssa, Olivia, Robbie, Johnny, and soon-to-arrive Baby Boy Ameruso. Michele was the cherished sister of Linda (Bob) Machado and the daughter-in-law of Georgianna Terra. She was also a beloved aunt and “meme” to many, and her extended family treasured her deeply.
A lifelong lover of animals, Michele adored her dogs—Angie, Frankie, and Baby Francis—who brought her tremendous joy.
Michele’s greatest passion was dance. At Horizon Dance Center she taught a wide variety of classes for more than 40 years, with tap being her signature and favorite. Through her artistry, mentorship, and dedication, she inspired generations of dancers and created a community bound by creativity, kindness, and love. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel special, welcomed, and seen.
Michele’s presence was a light in the lives of all who knew her. Her gentle heart, vibrant spirit, and boundless love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
